I"ve come REAL close to finishing the bike in the last couple days. She's a 1974 Honda CB750, a good solid old 4 piper. Rebuild was a complete teardown, sandblast and powdercoat the frame etc, strip down, repaint the engine, clean, polish, and clear all the shiny parts, and put her back together.

Fired it up last night and rode around the block, ran like crap, and lost all the lighting when I pulled back into the driveway.

Found tonight I had no ground! The battery cable was solid to the frame, but nothing grounding the ground wire in the harness. Fabbed a connection up tot he battery, and all is well, lights work, she runs on all four, and sounds great.

Had to tear apart the tach, needle wasn't moving, squirted the guts with brakeclean, works great now.

Last detail will be to bleed the front brake again, and she's ready for summer.

Hope this wasn't off the subject?
