Did you know that 42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot?

I'm still waiting for that Flu Pandemic they make a big fuss about every year if you don't get the flu shot, to happen .

Though, I don't doubt there's plenty of American's who would be marked as the different stages of Fatassery, me, I'm stage 6 , I think only in some mindsets is personal choice considered a "Disease" .

Now, bring forth the $5 buckets of calorie laden donuts!

Yes, you are 100% correct that overweight and obesity are ones personal right.

I believe whole heartily in personal rights. However, I elect to schedule appointments with my doctors for his advice. If the doctor tells me to lose a few pounds I can ignore or follow his advice. If I elect to ignore the doctors advice I put myself at risk of having heart trouble, hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes.

My insurance and I are paying for blood work twice a year and a physical exam every six months. If I am not going to listen to my doctors advice, why go? Common sense tells me to listen to the doctor, but thats just me...

You are correct, and personally, I do not visit doctors unless I'm sick with something that needs a prescription, as I pay for it all out of pocket.

My last primary care physician retired, so at the moment, I don't even have one to go to, yet.
