Funny you mention converse. Ordered some tennies and they came today. They have the name of a dead Canadian on them. Perhaps that will send this thread to heaven.
Wore these as a kid. They aren't the quality of the 60's when they were made in Canada but couldn't resist.

I will never own Converse tennies again. Way too heavy. Good quality, but too many #s. I have New Balance and Reebok's.

Hey Mike - I'm just glad to hear from ya. Annie has New Balance. What I like about these is they are really pretty flat bottomed. You don't have a lot of springy sole height. I don't wear tennies all the time and found I was clumsy footed in the "new" tennis styles.

Agreed! I have not found anything to match a pair of New Balance...
Regardless what shoe I wear, my wife still thinks I am Un Balanced...

I can't believe nobody picked up on the Breaking Bad reference... After all - Breaking Bad Thread is what we're after here. I recall a pic of one would be thread killer and his DW in front of a thread killer house in ABQ not too long ago.

But if this ain't a classic, I don't know what is...
It's more than shoe. It's a fashion statement and a reminder of days gone by. I feel like a kid again and that's what I was shooting for. No hoops or birdies for me. Just something to kick around in.

I only wear 10eeesss; size 8. I do have some snake and other boots, but since I retired, don't wear them.
I watched Breaking Bad.... for about 8-13 seconds.

There is one advantage I can think of to New Balance, they make 13 4E sized shoes. Shoe stores should try to stock more larger shoes imho. Kids seem to like light up shoes and shoes that roll though.
Remember the Reebok Pump? Only place I see them now are on skates.
It seems like the consensus to kill the thread is to post until the server overspills. Reminds me of a scene in The Green Screen Show where it was obvious Jeff didn't know what a Server Dump was or was very good at pretending he didn't know what it was.

Sadly the majority in this house won't get that picture. #7487.
Remember when GM dealers had the Mark of Excellence Rotate. Remember when KFC/PFK was Kentucky Fried Chicken and they had the buckets that rotated? Remember when there was an actual Bell (shaped fiberglass thingy) above a Taco Bell? Remember when you had coloured toilet paper? Remember when the word black wasn't taboo?

This thread sounds like part of the never ending struggle for truth justice and the American way.
