You don’t even have to order the heated tail gate option, it now standard.

I have found that to be one of the best options. Sadly the option came out the year after we bought our truck. They came out earlier on the RAMS but when I purchased they did not make RAMS with large enough GVWR and GCWR.

The last Ford Truck I owned that had a diesel had a huge IH Diesel and it ran super. BTW I read in a Motoring style magazine in a barbershop, before covid, That the is a huge machine shop company in the lower mainland of BC that does nothing but rebuild ford diesels for Ford. They take the burned out motor from the dealerships and rebuild them while the dealership installs the rebuilt diesel motor into the truck. So in reality Ford is supplying a rebuild as a new engine. Caveat is I only remember the information and not any specifics of names etc, or even what magazine I was reading. The following is not the article I was reading but it does cover Ford's transition problems ...

I have the Navistar 6 liter engine. The one they say is problematic. I talked to the fellow across the road who is the local Ford dealer heavy duty mechanic. He said the engine will work very well, especially if you leave it alone.

The 6 liter is apparently one of the easier engines to "soup". The earlier engines were more prone to failure. I read an article that by 2006 the 6 liter engine had the least amounts of complaints of any Ford engines.

The damage was done to the 6 reputation and Ford apparently had some issues with Navistar support so created their own engine. I like the new engines but they lack the diesel knock that many like.

This is about the 20500th post since 2011. Please don't think you have such brilliant/insightful comment to be the ending comment on a thread. A little conceit? So now it is about your truck engine. Lord have mercy moderator, close it. There is a thread on a trawler forum (10k posts), "Most Interesting Boats" thread which has thankfully managed to stay on course. But then again there are are many more interesting boats than this thread has generated comments. Now if that is not a "thread killer" I don't know what is. RIP!

Nope, home for a spell. Got a call from DW that we had lost our yard! She said she was confident it was somewhere under all those leafs. My thinking is get that super duper wind blower and blow them high enough then the wind will take them over the fence to the neighbors!
It was a lot easier when the fence was all barbwire but neighbor decided to replace fence with field fencing.

I thought Mary did the yard work so you could hang out in trees hunting Bambi

wonder why neighbor put up field fencing?

Are "field fence" and "snow fence" synonymous?

Probably because in most cases we live in two adjacent countries separated by a common language; then there's Tim!

We don't fence our snow, we let it free range. In fact we treat it special. We close down the whole state and celebrate!
