There is a jerk down the street from a friend of mine who commits so many flag violations (at least six) it's a wonder someone hasn't shot him. First, he flies the Don't Tread on Me flag (often flown by Tea Party members) at the top of the staff. That, in itself, is fine but then he flies the US flag upside down at half mast underneath other flag on the same staff. The US flag is badly tattered and both are flown 24/7, in any kind of weather, without any night time illumination. I understand the message the jerk is sending out but that doesn't excuse disrespecting the flag so many people have died for.

I have been there, done this.

If you have never seen about a dozen or so Military Motor Cycle (MC) Club stop in front of an establishment and correct a flag situation, you have not lived.

All of the neighbors should ban together and have a serious talk with the violator of U.S. Code.

Also, I have seen the improper placement of the U.S. Flag. It is always on it's OWN RIGHT when displayed with another flag. Think of yourself as the U.S. Flag. Position yourself in any direction. Your eyes are your front. Any other flag should be on your left side, you are always on your own right side.
