Wow! That's very expensive for all. Of course, insurance depends on many things... age, tickets, credit score, accidents, where you live, and much more. No two policies will ever be the same for the next person. Good luck shopping!

Be careful as you get what you pay for! AAA has been my coverage for years. When something happened they stepped up. I tried progressive for my boat and got hosed at claim time.

I agree it is expensive. The first year cost for MH was $1450. My insurance is for Texas. It's been many years since I've had a ticket or accident and credit score is in high 8's.
I put what I PAY for insurance in this thread, hoping others would list their cost. In this thread only one person stated their cost. (same ins. co. as mine) and the OP's $ 3100 quote.
If you ask a technical question or cost on this and other forums, you will get details down to the thread count and penny cost on almost everything except insurance. Looking at this and other threads, very few will post exactly what they are paying for insurance. I know that many things determine insurance cost, but what others pay would help you get an idea of price range.
I am embarrassed at the high prices I pay, but don't know if it is that bad because seeing post with only % up or down or maybe some dollar amount increase, gives no cost amount to compare against.

The RV insurance situation is above my patience to shop--shop--shop. Getting a firm quote is not easy, then comes the "Full-Timer" add-on. Miller Ins was easiest to work with, but not cheap in TX. Marlene was delightful to talk with and got it done. Can't quote $$ right now, working away from the coach for a month, but had replacement cost at first, the went to agreed value amount.
A lot of the online quote sites seem to just want to get your phone number and email address...then the bombardment starts.

There are several factors that go into insurance premium calculation so like, twogypsies mentioned, you rarely see two premiums the same. The costs for my family, just my Wife and I driving at this moment, are a follows. We are in Texas and keep the coverages going non stop. Liability limits on all are 100/300/50.
- Motorhome: 2003 Itasca, not fulltiming, comp/coll/liability, ACV, $1000 deductible,, $502 a year.
- Four automobiles: Comp/coll/liability/ACV, $1000 deductible on one vehicle, other three vehicles have liability only,, $1260 a year.
I usually shop every renewal but will admit that it's getting harder to find lower premiums for the same coverages. I don't use an agent or broker, I do everything online through well known companies.

I doubt it. The last time I tried to use them several years ago, it was obvious from the sounds in the background that she was at home.

Was paying over 3K with Progressive on our 2016 DutchStar. Last year we changed to State Farm and saved $1,200 but the value in case of a total loss is Actual Cash Value rather than replacing with a new current year same model for 1st 5 years and actual invoice amount for years 6 - 10. $1,950 vs $3,150 was enough to make me switch.
