Atlanta Motor Speedway open for Hurricane Evacuees

Atanta Motor Speedway is offering free dry camping at their Legends Campground for those inclined to move their rigs out of the path of Hurricane Dorian.

This is not a recommendation from me, just an effort to let folks know that if that is what they want to do (evacuate), this is a good option of a destination likely to be out of harm;s way.

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
If you are in SE Fla the power is going to be out for days, even weeks after this one. I’d board up and hit the road now before traffic and no fuel makes a 8 hour trip out of state into days.

If I could get a reservation in the Keys I would probably head that way if I had the supplies to last for 2 weeks.

We can HIGHLY recommend this Speedway as an evacuation destination. The folks at the site are wonderfully helpful. We went there last year during Florence from Myrtle Beach. The local people were very welcoming, distributing foodstuffs and in one case some clean clothes. The Speedway opens a restroom/shower building with free showers with HOT water. All the sites with electricity are 50 amp only. You may need a 50 to 30 amp adapter.
We might be there ourselves if we decide to evacuate. Good Luck and ma God Bless..
