Check the Fuse again......(2A fuse on circuit board OR Main 12VDC Fuse for the Water Heater???

2003 version only uses the circuit board for Gas control
If there is a short the 2A fuse blows
Short could be in the Power Circuit (Brown wires)
Short could be in the Valve Circuit (Red wires)

But if fuse has blown again......circuit board has to be replaced

Thank you! After I check to see if I have water. I'll check that as well. I feel like a ding dong!

If you have run Hot water and not drained water heater then chances are water heater has water

Fresh water tank maybe low but that would not affect water heater gas turning off

**empty Atwood water heater would trip on High Temp T-stat and trigger the Red Fault light on the on/off switch
Then would auto reset after you turn switch off/back on

So originally all it would do is light and then turn off after a minute. So I replaced fuse and it didn't change anything. So i replaced igniter. After a couple tries it lit right up anD looked great then it went out after 5 min. Since then I've tried a few times, it did same thing the it wouldn't light. I had to walk away. Frustrated. You are so informative. What do you think? The fuse I replaced was the one with wire attached to thermostat.

that is the Thermal Cutout Fuse.......it trips when exposed to 190*F + temps (flame blow back) and is a one shot fuse
If blown NO DC so no sparking, no gas valve no nothing

Firing off then shutdown after 5 minutes.......not relighting

Need to go thru ALL connections.....pull the 6 pin connector off circuit board/clean edge contacts on circuit using eraser on pencil then push/pull connector couple times to 'wipe; the edge contacts (only 4 wires in that connector---Brown, Blue, Red, Green)
Then pull Brown spade connectors off T-stat making sure clean and TIGHT when you put them back on
Same with Red spade connectors to ECO/Gas Valve

New Ignitor so connectors should be clean.....check that it is clean/tight AT the Transformer on circuit board

All cleaned/tighten.......see if it fires off/runs/heats
**Water Heater Tank has water!!!

Post back.
