It might be cheaper to just rent in Florida, depending on how long your stay is.
I had a car shipped from Cleavland, Georgia to Vancouver, BC, and it took over 6 weeks! You may get it shipped quicker, but it will cost more.

What are you wanting moved, how and from where to where. I worked with a crew that moved autos and trucks by driving then for customers.
We did regular trips from Atlanta area to the east coast and as far as New Orleans area.

Having someone drive it is another option.
There are driveaway companies that deliver cars, just make sure they are bonded, and you insurance covers you.
Back in the '70's a friend of mine toured the US by driving rental cars from one place to another. And he was just visiting from Norway! I bet they don't just give the keys to someone from out of country and tell them to take this car to ..... any more!

You may enter your data and receive shipping quotes here: https://www.uship.com/vehicles/
I agree with Unplassed, renting/leasing might be cheaper in the long term, because I assume you'll be shipping back to the midwest too.

What size is your vehicle and where are you shipping to/from?
If you have a smaller RV they may be able to put it on a flatbed. If it's big you can use a drive away service. The latter is much cheaper. If you're transporting to a popular destination, the cost is a lot less since they have tons of drivers wanting to go to that destination.

I will be shipping a toad not the RV itself I posted on the Uship site as RayIn suggested and have received dozens of quotes all within a couple hundred dollars of each other. This will be a one time ship. I havent been able to put the whole package together before we leave so I will hopefully be able to trade/sell the current toad and get a flat towable vehicle while we are in florida for 4 months...running out of options for flat towing on a smaller rv.. everything seems to be going to awd or fwd....thanks for all the suggestions......bob

FWIW, my FIL went with the lowest quote some years ago, to ship his Honda Accord from FL to up here in western NY, and the driver wouldn't take the car off the trailer until he coughed up more money. I think the quote was about $900, and the driver wanted another $300, which put it right at where the other quotes were.
He didn't get burned really; more like he got suckered by a too-good-to-be-true quote from a shady broker, and ended up paying full fare in the end.

auto transport
I have been employed with several auto transport companies (as a driver/car hauler) so I have some tips for you which I hope will be helpful for you :
if you shop lowest price as your priority, that can sometimes cause you some grief later on.. Fly-by-night owner operators and companies are abundant in all aspects of trucking and I would advise you to avoid those.. You should seek out a company that is well established. If your vehicle value is "high end" then you might want to consider "enclosed trailer" service. (rather than open rack trailer)
I would strongly advise you ask them (the carrier) to supply written proof that they are bonded and insured against cargo damage in the event any mishap does occur. Some of them are self insured, which is fine, too, that means they should have enough "liquid assets" to honor a very large claim, if needed. (Such as the whole load being a "total loss" (It has been known to happen. Either way, request written proof of cargo insurance and save it..
It is ESSENTIAL that (whichever company you choose) make sure the driver completes a written "inventory" documenting pre-existing damage and overall condition of your car prior to loading. Carefully review it with driver BEFORE he loads. Do the walk around with the driver, double checking each and every flaw is notated in detail. Location and severity included. Showing all paint chips, dings, dents, scratches in the finish, irregular body panel gaps and/or body panel misalignment. glass chips/scratches/cracks.. Damages to lower nose below bumper are often over looked.. Look very close at wheels. note any scratches or other flaws.. Check the roof, lower rocker panels, entire chassis area below the car. Make sure driver signs it and gives you a clear, legible copy. If you can take some detailed pictures showing the condition of your car, and a couple shots of driver loading it up, you have documentation you might need later. Insist that the paperwork states when the car is expected to arrive, and the rate (total charges) for the freight. (No surprises later from some unscrupulous owner operator.
Whoever receives (signs) for the car should have that "inventory" form and go over the car in detail before signing ..
About the cost, the trucking business overall has a lot of overhead, so by the time you pay the obvious costs for everything, it's just like everything else.. Good service is not cheap. Cheap service is not good. Best of luck to you in your move (or vacation) Hope this info is helpful ..

That '94 Wrangler is probably only worth $5K unless it's really modified, and it could easily cost $2,000 to ship it the 1500 miles. It might be better to just sell it and buy another jeep when you're ready to travel again.
