Autolevel has the wheels off the ground. Now the house rocks. How to fix?

I attempted to autolevel the trailer yesterday, and it said SUCCESS, but the wheels are now off the ground by a good 2-3 inches, and now the house is rocking when we walk around in it. I attempted to autolevel it again, and it said SUCCESS, but wheels are even higher off the ground now.

What gives?

How do I just get the entire trailer to go down about 4"?

I do not have a truck, so I am worried that the landing gear may retract and I won't be able to get it to stop and the entire thing may end up on the ground.

I’m far from an expert , but most trailers I’ve seen have a switch that will take you to manual leveling. You can control each jack separately. But that’s on older trailers, your may not have that option.
If it does, just adjust each jack to your desired level. It is best to kinda keep the trailer level while lowering it, that is don’t put it in a bind.
The automatic leveling systems I worked with left something to be desired.

Yep, so far, not really impressed by this setup. It is supposed to be top of the line, but I am not sure if it is not working correctly, or what. Most of the time, I can't get anything to move, except UP, which is the opposite direction I want to go.

I will mess with it some more later. Kinda frustrated with it right now.

I've seen the same thing with our trailer (Lippert Level Up system); repeating the AutoLevel causes it to go higher each time, so you don't want to do that. But you can just use the manual mode to gradually lower both ends (alternate front/rear) until the tires are holding the weight in the rear and the front is slightly higher than the rear, then run AutoLevel.

EDIT: Just saw your post about it only going up. There should be a button labeled "retract", when you push it, a red light comes on next to the button. Now, when you push any of the jack controls, they should retract rather than extend. When desired, push the "retract" button again to put the controls back in 'extend' mode.

That got it! I had to let it retract quite a bit, then autoleveled and now it is where it should be.

Thanks for the help!

Wheels off the ground, that means no chocks. What’s keeping it from rolling away?

How would it roll away if there are no wheels on the ground to roll on?

It might be top of the line but RV industry standards mean that bar is usually set pretty low. I hope you get it sorted out.

The jack stands. If it were so unlevel a site that the jacks wouldn't hold it it would be unable to auto level. The extra flexing of the frame is more of a concern.

Learn how to manually level. When this comes up you can scroll down to the manual level setting and lower it to where it belongs while being able to see the degree changes while it is moving.

You can best start with reading the operation manual.
Google LCI Level up. There are even videos.

Do you have bubble levels on the trailer so you can tell how level or not the ground is before even unhooking? Moving the trailer forward or back a couple of inches could help.
As far as trailer moving while beginning the level process put wheel chocks on the opposite side the trailer is going to be raised.
If always in paid campgrounds the site might not be to awfully unlevel but for dry/ boondocking it doesn't hurt to still have some 3x3/ 4x4 blocking for individual legs so one side or front runs out of ram before leveling. That is where bubble levels help before the unhooking process.
Auto levelers are not the cure all for stability.
