Awning roller full of water.

Went to roll up my Carefree awning and it turned a bit and then stopped. It's the type that the drum and motor goes out with the arms.

DW and I nudged the arms in as I kept hitting the switch. Each time it moved a bit.

Got a half a roll on the drum and water started pouring out of the lower end.

Once it stopped pouring out, it rolled right up.

Never happened before but the DW rolled it out and I'm not sure the LED strip was facing down when she did.

You are saying that the water was in the roller tube itself, and not just contained by the fabric? I've never encountered that with either Carefree or A&E(Dometic).

I have had a Carefree Eclipse that was reluctant to begin rolling from full extension. Had to give it a little help to get that first 1/2-full turn. The problem ended up being a poor connection in the wire harness where the motor plugs in, causing a small voltage drop (a couple tenths of a volt). I replaced the wire ends on the harness and that gave enough extra juice for it to roll up reliably.
