The best balance I have ever had was done on a Force Balance Machine. This is much more than a spin balance. They also check roundness and run out also. You have to call around to find a dealer that has one. I found one at a Ford truck dealership which found I had two bad tires and four bent rims. A Good year truck tire place did not or could not find it. This was on a new motor home.

Well I really don't think we have a concessus here.

So do I not balance and see if they need to be balanced - the old tires have no weights on them Now. - 14 years smooth as silk.

Replace and see - then have balanced if needed - Adding Beads later not a Big Issue?

Order Valve stems when you order beads.

As the theory is science then the beads should really make little difference as to Brand used?

Fleet truckers use them so............makes me feel like I should?

New tires shop cannot balance them in small town so -...................

Questions - Questions ...............Questions?????????????????????

What is the decision?

Help out with real life on eight new 295 80R 22.5's New Michelins -

More on the tire story latter.............

What does the Group Think?

when we replaced our tires a few years ago...they each received beads.

OMG impressive.. by the time i get to 35 they are smooth and no more odd feelings through the steering, coach is pretty much absent of vibrations.

do get the special tire valve stems that filter the beads so the stems dont stick open when you check pressure

When I replaced my tires I went with beads. On the backside of my aluminum wheels where the weights attaches ate into the aluminum.

Beads for me.
No weights to corrode the aluminum wheels.
Smooth as silk.

I operate a motorcycle shop and use dyna beads on a daily basis.
I recently installed two new front tires on my coach and used them in it as well.
Dyna Beads can be reused not so sure about counter act.
Dyna beads are shot peened ceramic TOUGH. Counter act is coated glass, if the coating wears off you just have glass which can break up.
My 2 cents
