I've let my starting batteries get weak by not using the MH. I would like to use a battery charger. I have two batteries (12 volts).

My question. Do I need to disconnect the connecting cables between batteries when charging one of the batteries? Or, can I charge both of them at the same time by putting the charger wires Neg on one battery and the positive on the other battery? Which is best? s/Toby

Do NOT disconnect the wiring. Your 12v batteries are in parallel so they act as one large 12 battery. It doesn't make any difference which positive and negative terminals you connect the charger to - the wiring will deliver the charging current to both.

You could also hook jumper cables to the house batteries and let the house charging system do the charging (assuming the coach is plugged into shore power).

Thanks Gary. Just was not sure. I know un-hooking the batt messes up the computer settings, so was not to anxious to take the wires off. s/Toby
