I don't know how handy you are but you could probably make them with metal picked up at Home Depot or a similar hardware store. That's what I would do.

Check out Sullivan's RV parts online. Go to their EBay Rv parts and I think you will find what you want. I have a Fleetwood Providence and probably use the same battery hold down pieces. They are not cheap (around $68) for a package of 8. That's the only place I've been able to find them. Also, since I started using mineral oil in my batteries and use the in closed battery watering system, I haven't had any problems with gassing and corrosion.

Agree with the assessment on mineral oil--seems to be working for me. As for hold down straps, not sure of your exact battery config but some threaded rod and a few pieces of plastic cutting board cut to size is a good solution. Anything metal, even if coated or painted, will eventually have the potential to arc across the the battery posts--so plastic, no metal.

Fleetwood may still have the origingal part available. You can probably order it direct, or just call Sullivan RV in Decatur (see above) and they can get it from the Fleetwood warehouse if it's available Sullivan is close to the factory and good to do business with.

Battery hold downs
Those straps are pretty common in boating equipment places. Try West Marine.

Hard to find
I tried dozens of different places and ended up ordering them from Fleetwood. $68 for 8 is outrageous! Fleetwood was much more reasonable.
I coated them with vinyl 'tool dip' and they seem to be holding up well.

As I recall, the hold-downs were actually $64.00 for 8, but the shipping costs brought it up to around $68.00. They are much thicker/sturdier than the ones that came with the coach. Still, that is an outrageous price. As Tony Soprano always said, "well, whatta ya gonna do"?

You can probably get them cheaper elsewhere, but Fleetwood has them on their site for $8.95 a piece. Battery Hold Down
