Yes it is leaking battery acid
That is a SUPER Start Marine Battery and they state:
"Their exclusive leak-proof "molded-in" stainless steel terminals keep connections corrosion free"
Appears that statement is not holding up............LOL

I would clean up with some baking powder/water solution then remove it and get new battery

If you are out of warranty, clean it with baking soda and water then rinse will with fresh water. Once it is dry, put a large dollop of Vaseline on the posts and all around where acid (gas) could leak.

If not under warranty I say go buy a new battery, Not worth making a mess, eating up cables, brackets etc. It will probably fail soon anyway.

If you are uneasy about using baking soda around your battery, since if any gets in a cell it ruins the acid mixture and cause a strong reaction, this is what I use/ not necessarily that brand though: https://www.walmart.com/ip/NOCO-Remo...ector/16213365

Batteries don't suddenly start leaking or weeping from the caps or terminals unless there's trauma or some other predicating failure. It's rare for a terminal to leak unless it's been used to carry the battery, or a sustained high current that heats and distorts the seal or the case. More likely it's overfilled electrolyte or overcharge causing hard gassing. A bad cell can cause the remaining cells to overcharge so checking the charging system along with cell electrolyte might give a clue why.

Thank you everyone for replying. We took the batteries out of the garage today where they had been charging over the winter and spring. Husband thinks they are not overcharged but it makes sense if one of the cells are bad that could cause a problem. The one in question is from 2018 so past the warranty. I hope we don't have to buy a new one but we will see.

It may say super sealed but that is a lead acid battery that is not totally sealed meaning it is a low maintenance battery. Personally I would rinse it off, give a good overnight charge and do a load test on the battery. (Some parts stores and most battery stores can do this for you).If it passes use it. Just get some battery terminal paste and apply to the post and cable ends. Most likely if the battery checks out good it is slightly over charging. That said the question hasn’t been asked, how long has it been since you cleaned your batteries and how old is the battery. If it is over three to four years old I wouldn’t spend any more time on it and replace it with a quality battery. If it is paired with another battery you should replace both.

Batteries that are not connected to anything remain charged all winter if they were fully-charged at the beginning; no need to keep them on a charger.

that kind of leak will not improve....may worsen over time.

Replace the battery would be my opinion. Not worth all the mess and maintenance issues.
