KUDOS is a Greek word meaning acclaim or praise.
Beckley RV Service center came to my rescue and I do mean to praise their exceptional attitude and service. I was on the road, stopped for a while, and the BIG slide on the Winni would not come in. With the help of a Mobile Repair that I acclaimed in another post, the slide came in. I was still stuck with the problem of getting it fixed. An area wide search and contact of many, many RV dealers revealed that I would not get service until August, and this is the first week of June. I broadened the search and found
Beckley, RV in Thurmont, MD. This is about 20 miles South of Gettysburg on US-15. We called Beckley, and in my "emergency" discussion they said they would try and get me in Monday morning, June 6th. A far cry from August.
We stayed in Gettysburg for the night and was promptly at Beckley's RV by 0830 Monday morning. I just have to say that the service writer and all of the office personnel were pleasant to speak with. My service writer was Chris, and he was great.
The technician was Bruce. I mention the technicians name because I feel he goes a step above being just a technician. He came into the waiting room, showed me the broken washer from the travel lock, and told us he would have us on the road in short time. Then, when finished he called me aside and said he wanted to show me some things about my MH. The cover was off the travel lock, he showed me the mechanisms, and explained the operation, then showed me how to free it with a pair of pliers if it should jam again.
Now that is service. If you are within driving distance to
Beckley's RV and you are having problems. It would be worth a few days camping in Gettysburg to have them service your unit.
Thanks Beckley's RV service department.
And thank you Ms Beckley for founding Beckley's RV. She is a delightful person.
