Bent awning support arms

I was rolling my awning back in and the support arms bent and pulled the Rivets out by the glass strut. Has any one heard of this happening coach only a year old.

Have to have more info....is your awning electric or manual?

Did you release the tension screws for the awning support arms? If you don't, they will try to pull in and put a lot of stress on the mount rivets.

A photo might help. Don't know what you mean by "glass strut".
