Best place to refill Propane Tanks in West Palm Beach FL

Hi all.

We just moved our 5th wheel to West Palm Beach. Zip 33401

Anyone know the best place to get propane tanks refilled?

I was spoiled in New Orleans by an Ace Hardware right down the

street.

Thanks

Never used a U haul for LP but 4 are listed in the general area.

Also check Ace and Tractor Supply stores.

If there are any Tractor Suppy Company locations in the area, it would be worth checking to see if they offer propane. Those that do typically charge a very reasonable per gallon price. TSC is our preferred stop for propane refills both at home and on the road.

Ask the RV park where you're staying.

Yes and thanks.
There are a lot of propane exchanges.
We have never done the exchange cause
we have our own tanks.

There are pro's and cons to exchanging vs filling of course.

Take care.

My first step. You get overwhelmed with
Propane Exchanges and only a couple of refill places.

U-haul in New Orleans was not good. They try to charge you for more than
a 5 gal tank will hold and are too ignorant and untrained to weigh them like they are supposed to. I even went to the State Agency that regulates that stuff and complained. Legally you can't put more than 4.7 gals in a 5 gallon tank. The Technician from the State me that the propane meters on the fill stations are notoriously inaccurate. But if they try to tell you they put in more than 4.7 something is wrong..

Comparison of Tank Exchange vs Refills

This is a great explainer for the difference between Tank Exchange and

Tank Refills. For if you exchange , ask them how many pounds of propane

they put in. It can add up over time.
Thanks

I go to Red Barn located on Okeechobee Blvd west of Royal Palm Beach. They fill On Board Tanks!

A chain of propane shops known a Grill Doctor claim they have outlets throughout the area.

If you Google for 'RV propane near me', you will avoid a lot of non-contenders.
