Best Residential queen mattress for motorhome
We have a 2004 Fleetwood Discovery motorhome with storage under the bed when the bed is lifted up. I would like to get a new mattress that isn't very heavy so lifting the bed is not too cumbersome but yet comfortable to sleep on.
We like memory foam, since we both have back issues. What would you suggest?

There are ‘mattress in a bag’ that you can purchase. We bought one for our first MH and were happy with it. Be careful to measure your mattress actual size as many RV queens aren’t the same as residential.

"Best mattress" is going to be almost 100% subjective....Some like firm...some like soft.
We bought this for our RV and have been very happy with it. Was less than $300.

If you have under the bed storage that requires you to lift the bottom 1/3 of the mattress while accessing, I suggest you get something like this to help you and to hold it open.

Good luck!

I use Zinus memory foam mattresses. They are very good and inexpensive.

Lightest weight mattress (and the most comfortable too in my opinion) is a sleep number (air filled) mattress.
Each person can set how firm or soft they like it.

The best mattress is the one you find comfortable and fits your budget.

We bought new mattresses for three RV's. Joyce orders them online they come in a box and a bag what all has been vacuum out of the memory foam.. You custom order by the sive you want.

Check out Bed In a Box. Have one in my home. Great mattress. Make sure you measure the platform size before ordering any online mattress.

Be careful buying a mattress from Amazon. You do not get the same return policy as you get from the manufacturer. Only Amazon's 30 return policy.

It depends on your sleep preferences...
If you are looking for something lightweight, I suggest an all foam mattress or a shorter hybrid mattress. If you have back issues, you would benefit from the hybrid mattress as it will provide more support with both coils and foam. Are you back or stomach sleepers? This will help determine which type of mattress you need!

A number of members have doubled up on the mattress platform lift struts , when their new mattress proved too heavy for the original struts.
