Blocking baseboard heater vent

Hi everyone. I recently bought a 13 inch tall air bed/mattress for occasional guests. It will be placed on the floor between my dinette bed in my refrigerator. My only concern is that to the left of the refrigerator, is a round plastic heater vent that warm air comes out (when I use of the propane heating system instead of the roof unit) and I don't know if the air that comes out of this that would be hot enough to pop the new air bed/mattress. That vent does not have a switch to close it off. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for deflecting the warm air or closing off that vent temporarily whenever the air bed/mattress is near it? It's supposed to be a very good quality air bed/mattress, but I don't know if warm air, say 84°, would damage the air mattress. Even if it would not damage the mattress, warm air blowing on the guest might be uncomfortably hot. See attached photos. Any suggestions? Thanks

A suggestion

My motorhome has five vents. The one in the bedroom is the closest to the furnace and the air is much hotter and flow higher. In my case, closing it off would reduce flow by 20% which may not cause too much back pressure in the furnace. Blocking it partially, by 50%, would reduce total system flow by 12.5%. That should not cause excessive back pressure. To be safe, I'm going to contact the furnace manufacturer for advice. Perhaps you should do the same thing. 😉

I wouldn't think the forced air would get hot enough to cause any problems. I have a couple in mine that are blocked when the slides are in and have never had a problem running the furnace with the slides in. If you are worried just cut out a piece of plastic or some sheet metal to fit inside the vent, take the 2 screws out insert the piece inside the vent then reinstall it. Don't see it affecting the furnace it will just blow harder out the other vents.

My wife set up 2 large dog crates in front of one of the vents so to prevent hot air from hitting the crates I just blocked it. Haven't had a problem

If you do block the vent I would check to make sure the rest of the vents are operating, I found one of my lines that supplies a vent kinked not letting air flow. Just make sure the rest are open with air flowing and you should be fine.

You can buy adjustable vents as I have. They are direct replacements for the vent shown. Even CW has them.
