Blue Ox Alpha or Aventa II - have both, which to keep?

Have both, need to decide which tow bar to keep. We have an Blue Ox Aventa II (the older Aventa, no ball). Bought another coach which came with a Blue Ox Alpha.

The Aventa II was bought used about 4 years ago, don't know how old it is. Was checked and rebuilt year before last by BO while at Quartzite. Rubber on handles is a big checked, paint a tad failed. Works fine. Rated 10000 lbs.

The Alpha is about 2 years old. Is in better looking condition than the Aventa. Works fine. Rated 6500 lbs.

Tow a Modified Jeep Wrangler that tips the scales at about 5000 lbs.

Which should we keep, and why? The other goes on Craigslist.

Thanks!
Vince

I like the Aventa, and having a higher rating makes me think that it is less prone to failure in an accident situation than a lower rated bar.

I have a very "experienced" Aventa II that I trust, can get replacement parts for, and is easily inspected and serviced as required. It would get my vote.
