Blue ox sports Carrier

We have a 32 foot Fleetwood and intended to put a Blue-ox Sports carrier on the back to carry our EZ-Go cart for maneuvering around the campgrounds. We have done all kinds of research and have just been told that we probably can't put the carrier on our particular motor home because of the way the chassis is built. Evidently the frame runs to the rear and stops at a certain point and then an extension is welded onto the frame to support the rear end of the coach, and that because it is a welded extension, it won't support the carrier.....People who should know tell us yes, it can be done if it has a support welded to it to make it heavy duty and even Blue Ox tells us it "could" be possible.

Is there anyone out there that has any knowledge about doing this on a Fleetwood ..if you personally have done it and know it is possible, or know it isn't possible......Everyone is telling us different stories.

Could really use some information...

I'm quite sure it "could" be done, but it will probably depend on your weight capacities.
If you gave a little more information on what model fleetwood you have it might get you a better response. after looking at the system I personally wouldn't use it because it would put me way over my weight capacities, but your situation may be different than mine, I drive a gasser.

It's a 2010 "new" Encounter.

I looked up the specs for your Encounter, and would not consider the sport carrier for your unit. As was stated you "could" do it but the additions to beef up the frame and the added weight of the carrier and golf cart would probably put you in an overloaded condition, which could be a safety hazard.
Safe travels
