blue tank storage ?

Hi all,
looking at a 42gal. barker blue boy tote. I don't want to carry it under the nose of the fiver or in the truck bed. I've seen them on the rear ladders of a few campers. How do you carry yours safely? Ladder ? roof ? and how do you tie them down ?
waste happens,
thanks!!

We full time in a FW and don't carry a tote. The hand full of times that I needed a tote, I was able to borrow one from the campground or just plan our water usage, like using CG showers before our next move.

When I carried one I hung off the rear ladder using a chair rack to support the weight and a ratchet strap to hold it against the ladder.

42 gallons? That thing is going to weight in at over 300 pounds when full.

Good morning sumjoe. I don't have fw, I have a class C. I use a 35 gal tote. I pull a Chevy HHR, I put a hitch on the car, bought a basket type carrier and the tote lays in it. Works great.
Maybe you could put a basket on the back of the fw, and carry the tote there. You would not have to lift it as high as you would as when hanging It on the ladder.
Good luck on the project.

When we travel I store ours in the back of our mini van. I make sure that I rinse it completely off. Have never had a smell issue in the van. Have fun RVN
