Boat as an RV?
It has been years since I was here last. Hello again. 😀
I am sure this has been asked, but on my phone, not on the app, I can't find the search button, so here it goes.
If you have a boat that is self contained, will RV parks allow them to be used as an RV? Anyone have any experience with this?
Thank you.

As in you have a watercraft that has std 50amp hookups and black water disposal? So will it also be under 40'?
if so, yes I would guess so, but you better call ahead. Considering there is a 10year old rule for some campgrounds, I imagine they would not automatically consider boats or the like.

When I am traveling with my boat behind my truck, can I rent an RV spot, plug up and stay at the RV park like in an RV?

30 feet, just a few years old and fully self contained just like an RV. Runs on 30 amps just like my last RV. Just hoping someone else here has done it or seen it.
Thank you.

I have seen this several times, but it was some time ago so can't offer an opinion for current RV parks.

I have seen it 2 times one was a 32ft Wellcraft ST Topaz his problem was that the AC was water cooled and could not run. The other was a pontoon style that was fully self contained he even had a boarding ladder built into the trailer. Back in the 70es there was a few boats that were advertised as a Boat/Rv

I have seen a few people using a boat and trailer as an "RV" - i.e. camping on land. This was at state campgrounds in Florida that also had boat ramps.
I have never seen such a set-up at an RV park. If you do some research, please post the results here.

I was parked next to one in Winnemucca NV. They had come from the East coast heading home to California. Call ahead and ask like others said.

I would think it can be done. Finding the RV park that will let you will/could be an issue but I imagine if you pulled in one evening and had the cash you would be good to go in most.
Just as long as you do not expect a pier to tie up to!!!! LOL

Thanks everyone. I understand checking each park, just wasn't sure if it was common or not.
Thank you all again.

Did this with a 25 ft cabin cruiser several times. The only problem was one location that had a computer check in screen and the did not know what to call it, settled on travel trailer.

Odd looking thing. The trailer was custom built to carry it anywhere.
I was going to bid on one, at an auction, until I stepped on the soft floors and decks. Didn't wait around for the selling price.
