Just spent an average of a week in four different state parks in Utah and Col. In each of these parks it was only dry camping and they were $12- $15 per day.

Going from Col. heading thru Nebraska, South Dakota, Minn, and Wis we will not be staying at state parks as these states charge $6.00 - $8.00 per day for park entry fee in addition to the camping fee, making it $24-$30 per day.

As a full timer $25-$30 per day, or more than $750 per month for rent, is to expensive for our fixed retirement budget.
