For the time you have allocated this is a long trip with a lot of driving.
We are Danes travelling in the US and we normally do around 7,500 miles in 6 month. In 1990 we did 20,000 miles in 6 month and with this speed you just miss out on too much. Personally I would shorten the route you are proposing and maybe cover this area in 2 trips.
You will find that there will be a lot of practical issues that you will have to deal with being "an alian" in the US. Many places are not setup for International business. Check out
