We stayed at a new RV Resort in Savannah Georgia. It is clean and well taken care of by the owners. All of the fellow Rv'er are neat and clean at their site. Then came Bubba from Arkansas. He pulls in...in his Winnibago Class A motorhome, wife and two Golden retrivers. The first thing he does is opens the door and turns the dogs loose. No leash, just lets them run. He does not clean up after them after they poop. This would happen every morning and evening. Others could not walk their dogs because of the two roaming dogs. Then he would be gone of the day leaving the two dogs locked inside his motorhome, only to bark most of the time. The rules clearly state dogs must be on a leash, you must pick up after your dogs, and you can not leave you dogs inside your motorhome when you are not there. It became very clear the Bubba from Arkansas is "Special" and rules do not apply to he, or people in Arkansas can not read.

Unfortunately, it's not just the Bubbas in this world who seem to believe they are exempt from the rules and common courtesy

Did you say anything to the park management about Bubba? If so, did they do anything about the situation?

When in the South and you don't know a man's name, just say Bubba and you'll have a 75% chance it's correct

I'm not sticking up for Bubba in any fashion.
Just want to know what RV resort doesn't allow dogs inside the MH when I'm not there -- so I can never stay at that resort.
Our dog doesn't bark when she's alone. We leave her when we go sightseeing. Most of our RV neighbors are surprised when we open the door and she bounces out (all 90 pounds of her). They didn't even know she was inside.

How would you know your dog is/isn't barking if you aren't there?

Many parks have rules against leaving pets unattended, but they are pretty much unenforced. Of course, if the pet is silent, nobody would know he is there and unattended.

We have parked away from our site and snuck up on the MH - quiet.
We leave her inside when we walk from the MH to the beach (she hates the water) - quiet when we return.
We've sincerely asked neighbors if they can hear her - no.
Our family has been camped next to us and they would tell us if she barked - nothing.

To us, unattended means outside of the rig by herself - not inside.

What's the point of having an RV if I can't leave the pet inside?
Might as well board her at home and stay in a hotel.

I guess I have to confess - I'm a violator. If we go out to eat in the Texas summers, I'll leave the Shelties in the nice, air-conditioned 5th wheel rather than the back seat of the truck where interior temperatures would be fatal in mere minutes.

Sounds like a "darned if you do; darned if you don't" dilemma unless we never leave the RV.......if we can never leave the RV, why should we own one?

Everything was good until you got to, "maybe people in Arkansas can't read". Can't accept that. There are "Bubbas" in every part of the world. Last year in Quartzite I was dumping our tanks and a MH from Texas drove in, he got out opened his valves on both tanks with no hose. Gushed out 100 gals of raw sewage about ankle deep. Got back in his MH and drove away. It never crossed my mind that this was a reflection on all the people from Texas but simply, this guy is a moron.

Bubba could be from any state and fill that roll fine. It does not seem to have economic lines or geographical lines. Slobs are slobs. We have met Bubbas in 20 year old class A's and brand new Monacos.

First thing to do is just report him to the office and insist that he follow the rules.

What part of Ar. was he from? He might be kin.....Don't appreciate the remark, it kind of like the steers and Q@#$% thing in TX,you know.. What he did was wrong, but the way you are posting it doesn't make you much better....

I'm just going to assume that "Bubba" is an affectionate term use to refer to all people who act the way that group acted, and not a reflection on any one individual named, "Bubba." I'm almost sure you didn't ask what his name was, and "Bubba" is a general-ism.

I also leave my 70 pound Husky in the MH when we go to eat or sightseeing. I know she doesn't bark because people tell us how good she is. They walk by the front of the MH and she is perched with her front paws on the dash watching the go by, even with dogs on leashes, she still does not bark according to people who have camped near us.

So I also believe that "unattended," is outside on a leash/rope. I would not stay at an RV park that would not let me keep me pet inside when I leave.
