We go to the Katy Bucees all the time. Love that place!

I do part time work in that neck of the woods and usually stay at one of the motels close to Buc ees.
Every time I'm over that way, I'll stop in at least once.
BTW, welcome to irv2.

They are great for cars with tows or class A to get gas. The ones I’ve used have diesel at every pump. Some of the newer ones only have def at some of the pumps. Stations like this have marked blue signs showing def pumps. If lot is full or crowded leave rig at pump while inside. That’s what you have to do at sum locations due to heavy traffic. They can be quite busy.
Enjoy the journey

I'm not sure I'd feel very comfortable blocking a row of pumps for any length of time for fear of someone having a bad day. The few Buc-EES I've been to, the pumps were very busy with people waiting to fill up.
This opinion based on a few 'stink eyes' while fueling the RV and blocking another pump with the toad.

Buc ees
I just don’t see the draw. Yes, the bathrooms are always clean but Mrs Freqz and I prefer the accommodations in the RV. We don’t eat a lot of gas station fare nor do we drink cola. As far as gas station/connivence stores go they’re good, I suppose, but I just absolutely do not understand the fascination. Shrug.
I much prefer the big rig stations with the big diesel nozzles. Fill up, pull forward to the line, take care of any necessities, and GO. Taking only 40 gallons in my F450 leaves LOTS of time before the 18 wheeler behind me is impatiently tapping his foot.
The one in Port Lavaca, TX has truck lanes

I heard the other day, they are thinking about putting Buc ee's in NC somewhere in the area around the I-85/I-40 split in Orange County. The locals are in an up roar not wanting it to come, but the county is all for it...
We'll see what happens... I thought this was a large truck stop, but from the comments, it sounds like a large fuel station/convenience store that caters to autos.

They don't allow big trucks. It isn't a convenience store like any you've ever seen. It has to be experienced. There is one about 20 miles from our place. It has 120 pumps.

Bucks are definitely a clean well managed stop for travelers, except 18 wheelers. I call then convenience stores on steroids!
the wife loves them for shopping stuff, They can be very busy. Their fuel prices are competitive so I pull in if the wife is not napping.

Another Buc'ees perk is to get a Buc'ees credit card. Pay for your fuel and get a $0.10/gallon discount. At the Katy store and 2 other south Texas stores, the discount for using the card is$0.20/gallon.

Been to a lot of truck stops for diesel. NONE are as clean as a Buc ee. None of the truck stops have an attendant on duty constantly cleaning rest rooms. Buc ee’s do good because there target audience is women with family’s. Dirty restrooms are a major turn off. Walking into a RR and it smelling and looking like a zoo is a major turn off. Hard to believe so few fuel seller’s haven’t figured this out. Staying at the pump with the rig is your only choice and no one has ever looked at me cross or said a thing about it. Safe travels
Enjoy the journey

There's always at least one exception to a rule. The Buc ees in Port Lavaca TX definitely has truck pumps. I'm sure there have to be others.

We visited the one near Macon, Ga the other day and were surprised how nice they are. Greta selection of food also.
No truck pumps, but plenty of room for RV's.
X3 on the fresh made potato chips.

Some of the newer Buc-ee's have diesel only lanes. They will be marked on the canopy at the end of an island(s) with a huge blue DEF sign.
There is almost always plenty of parking at the newer Buc-ee's.
BTW, overnight parking is not allowed.
The guy who started Buc-ee's as the story goes pulled into a gas station years ago with his daughter who needed to use the restroom. The restroom was filthy and he said to himself he could do a much better job.
