One thing to keep in mind with an auction rig is more or less it's as is where is. Risk can be high but final price can be low which can offset the risk. I found my coach at a dealer that only sells used and they did disclose it came from an auction. Additionally I spent the money for a Car Fax which didn't show service but did include every time the registration was renewed and also indicated it was repossessed and then sold at auction. The events occurred in 2010 which wasn't a happy time economically for many owners. Something at auction could be for multiple reasons. A car or RV dealer took it as a trade in and want it off the lot, forced or voluntary bank repo, estate sale, low demand for the make/model,,,,
If you want to try for the rig, or any rig at auction, do a bit of research of what the current asking price is from both dealers and private sellers. Set that set a not to exceed price and be ready to walk away if the price is goes above your budget. Plenty of used rigs available and the sun will still rise in the east and set in the west if you don't have the "one" in your driveway.
