Buying through eBay
Has anyone bought an RV this way?
“The motorhome is in eBay Motors possession ready to be delivered. eBay will handle this transaction for me. The deal includes free delivery and it will arrive at your address in 5-7 days,so all you have to pay is the price of the motorhome $22,000. Once you will get the motorhome you will have 5 days to try it out prior to making any purchase. In the case that you feel that the motorhome is not suitable,you can just return it all fees being on my expense. When receiving it you will have as well all the documents including title, sale bill, 2 sets of keys, full service records and more. The title and the bill of sale will be notarized and signed by me.If you are interested in buying my motorhome please send me your full name, full shipping address(street address,city,state and zip code) and phone number so I can register the transaction with eBay and they will reply you with more details and information about this transaction. “
When I asked for a link to the eBay listing I got this reply:
“The RV was not listed on eBay, I made a contract with them and they only help with mediating the transaction and ensuring both sides for a smooth and safe deal. If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay.”

The sentence syntax is wrong in multiple places. Scammers could fix it but know if will overlook this then you tend to be an easy mark. Scam!

Just reading the add screamed SCAM! Ask where it is located. Then indicate that you will be in town in a few days to look at it for purchase. Watch what happens.

Ebay does not offer this sort of service. they certainly do not take possession of goods of any sort whether motorhome or 5.00 pencil. their business model is precisely designed to be a middle man ...only

If you can’t see the MH on eBay it may not exist... Did the email come from eBay or just to your email address. Be very leery if it didn’t come through eBay.
