C.W. President’s Club Renewal Tip

I recently received my President’s Club renewal in the mail. I decided to pay it online and went to CW’s web site. I found the renewal fees to be about $9 less if I paid it online with a credit card. I paid for two years. Easy way to save some $$.

Craig, on a couple of occassions in the past, I have let my Presidents club membership expire, and Camping World came thru with a $5.00 gift certificate to get me to renew.

I stopped being a member. Prices are high there. I use rvupgrades for most of what I need. Camping world closed in my area. None close. Repair service is poor. Last place to shop for me.

Dropped my membership also, found a local trailer supply store where I could get what I needed for often less than the PC discount price at CW.

Presidents club is like paying a cover charge to go into Wal-Mart.Prices are still too high for their products.

Although not always a fan, there are times where some of the products are less than anywhere else with the Club Discount and specials on freight. The cost of the membership is usually made up over the year.

Side note, the parent company of CW has not filed their required paperwork with the
SEC by the deadline imposed. Say they are too busy doing other things. Look for a fast approaching bankruptcy. Ding, another one bites the dust!

It is like shopping for any type of item, no one place always has the best deal. The comparative shopper will win every time.

I shopped at a dealer, a trailer supply store and CW in one day looking for a hard to find part as well as other things. CW was very competitive, being higher on some items and lower on others. CW is a very RV specific store which makes it a hoot to shop at. The Presidents Club means 10% off and I will make up the cost of membership easily over the year. CW does have faults and not all are equal, but when I can get the RV specific items without having to hunt across town it is a good thing. DW even feels they are competitive. Just some thoughts,
Phil

I don't know about the rest other then what I read, but I find the C.W. generally has what I need or "want" and due to location, is easier to get to with out having to search all over town or the internet. Besides, I like to feel that 10% discount more then pays for the local sale tax so whether or no, like the feeling that I'm getting something back in the long run.
