CA --- Here we come again

Soon to leave on my 8th trip to CA and then hopping along I-10 until May. The Daybreak has been good so far, I have over 55k on it and no issues to speak of. I will leave in November and stay in San Diego area for about 1&1/2 months visiting the grandkids (until I'm broke). On this trip out I will be staying at 5 Military bases all of which I've stayed at before. Plan to do Thanksgiving at El Centro, what a spread they have for about $9 per person.

I should enjoy this trip because of the 2 new TV's and new couch I put in. Can't wait to go.

Have a safe trip , and don't let my DW see that couch install; it was all I could do to talk her out of one at Quartzsite last Feb.
She's still after me every time she walks through the coach and I know it'll just get worse when she sits on it.

Thanks Skip. Now that I put that couch in my wife won't let me look at other RV's unless I get another.

Only way I managed to talk my DW, out of buying one was to ask if she was going back to work to pay for it.
And then the fight started.

That looks like a good napping couch. The TV's look good too.

I earned my Shellback in October 1982 on the USS Midway CV-41. Something I will never forget.

I went on the Midway twice on my trips west. I earned my Shellback on the Independence in 1965.

The Midway is a museum in San Diego now. You should stop by and visit. I did in 2010. When I stepped on-board, the smell was the same even after 28 years.

I was assigned to VA-93, we had A-7E Corsair II Jets, It was my first Ship, I was a "Aviation Fire Controlman". At the time it was homeported in Yokuska, Japan. I was onboard from 1981-1983.

Yea I went on the Midway twice while in San Diego, showed my wife and kids what it was like living onboard. I was on the Indy in 65 Aviation Structural Mechanic, but I worked as a Line Rat on F4B's VF-84.

Shellback1, That couch is exctly what the DW is asking for to replace the sleep sofa in our Winnebago Sightseer. I am retiring in May 2014 and plan to get out to Quartzsite later that year. I have never been there and was curious if Furniture like your recliner setup can be found there. Your trip plan sounds like a good time. Enjoy.

Thanks for the info, I checked Shop4Seats.com out. This is the type of source we've been looking for. I trust that you are happy with the quality and that your recliners are comfortable. Did you retain the seatbelts? Did you need to purchase new hardware to secure it?

I'm very happy and so is DW. I kept the seat belts but they are under the couch, no one rides there. They will send you samples of material. It come in 3 pieces and the backs come off. The sections just clip together. See my link here.
