CA outlawing portable generators?

I saw a news article to day that said CA is considering banning the sale of all portable generators. Anybody know about that?

I haven't seen anything saying ownership of generators has been banned, instead the "sale" of generators under 25HP will be banned in 2028.

https://www.kcra.com/article/sale-po...-law/37954497#

"AB 1346 does not affect stationary generators, and does not phase out the sale of gas-powered small portable generators until 2028,"

California; the land of rolling blackouts, making the life of the homeowner harder by degrees every year. I can't believe they want to put more burden on their rather fragile electric grid. What do they think adding more demand for battery charging will do?

not to fast to Oregon. i see they have appointed a Commision to ban ALL small gas engines. lawn tools, chain saws, and so on. if they ban chainsaws that might be really hard on Oregon's logging industry.

We live in Arizona and quit going to the peoples republic of California 3 years ago. Instead we bought a subscription to Arizona Highways and visit those places. Arizona got more than its' share of scenery.

I know there’s lots of folks here that live in CA. My question is why? I know moving is a pain and leaving family is hard, but the upside is considerable when it comes to CA.

We meet a few each year at campgrounds around the Smokey's.

They all complain about Taxes, homeless, regulations and crime, sad stories.

Nashville is becoming Los Angeles East.

We stay for the great weather, 2 hours from mountains, desert. 5 minutes to pacific ocean.

Problem with moving is everyone else is, taking their problems and politics with them. Ends up being the same.

I grew up in SoCal, left when I was 19 and haven't looked back. Spent 24 years in AF, and saw many other parts of the country that were just as nice, without the stupid expensive infrastructure and terrible crowding.
