Cable hook-up issue
I added a TV to our outdoor kitchen. Camper was factory prepped with a location for TV mounting, a power outlet and a cable outlet. When I hook my camper up to the cable land line, the inside TV looks great, but my new exterior one the picture is very snowy and sound is staticky. If I connect the outdoor TV directly to the land line it looks great. Any thoughts on why, or how to correct?

Coaxial cable for the new TV is not connected or connection is loose inside your camper.

There is probably a T in the line that has loosened or could be bad. Any other tv's in your RV?

The ends on the cable may also be bad I just had mine in for two weeks having them replace all the ends on the cables

I had a new cable and the center copper wire was too short to make a contact, so I cut the end off and put on a new end. Works now.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Do you have a coax switching box inside where you select what source is going to each TV? Maybe the switches are not in the right position for the outside TV.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

The splitter that divides the signal to feed multiple tvs attenuates the signal somewhat. Most splitters have a primary feed jack that gets a strong signal and secondary jacks that are somewhat less. You may want a better quality splitter or place a signal booster on that outside tv coax line.
My splitter war story: My front tv performed great but the rear tv was noticeably degraded, with a few less channels received and poorer picture quality, even with cable as the source. Then I added a 3rd tv and it was miserable. Upon investigation I discovered the coach builder had used an 8-way splitter. I replaced it with a 3-way and got an immediate boost in signal strength and picture quality. I also realized that the cable inlet was at the back and ran all the way to the front to the splitter, and then all the way back again for the rear tv. Almost 100 ft of coax to generate a picture on that tv. I added a powered booster at the cable inlet and got another improvement that way (but only on cable).
