camp chairs

since we sold the truck camper and bought the lake house we've been using the folding camp chairs around the fire pit and they're looking kinda ratty and have quite a few more burn holes. now we have the new travel trailer and it's time to get some new ones.our 2 favourite chairs are now discontinued.one was the eureka! high back and the other was an Alp big man.i'm only 6' 205 lbs but i like the bigger chairs.my question to you all is what are you using for a really comfortable,or as comfortable as it can get for a folding camp chair of really good quality ? we have several zero gravity chairs but i would prefer to leave them at home on the dock.i don't like the director type folding chairs,i just don't find them very comfortable.

So we just bought a set of camp chairs at Murdocks. I'm not sure of the style name. They have a longer back section with a pillow, they sit low, and leaned back. So when you're sitting, you can stretch your legs out and your legs will "almost" be parallel with the ground. Kinda like sitting in a recliner with no leg rest. Very comfortable compared to the "standard" camp chair. I'm 250lbs and it doesn't budge. They fold up the same way. When folded, they're a little wider and longer than standard, but I think "should fit" where you had the last ones. Click image for larger version

I insist on my zero gravity chair and my wife likes her folding rocking chair. I guess you will just need to try some out in different camping stores, or if your camping neighbor has a good looking chair ask to try it out.
Thanks,

I always watch these posts with interest as I'm a big guy and I'm always looking for a good chair. A couple of years ago, someone posted about the chair below.

It's rated for 300 pounds, has a full/tall back with no openings that allow cold air in. No bar under the legs and the front feet are height adjustable for uneven or sloping terrain. The chair reclines about halfway back, enough for a nap.

Camping World use to sell them, but only found one place after a quick look. Looks like they're back ordered.

i've put these on the maybe list.i'm not sure about the feet on these as we usually boondock and the ground is rarely flat/level enough for this type of footing.$138 cdn per on Amazon.

We take four camp chairs with us. 2 low style ones for sitting near the campfire and 2 higher zero gravity ones for sitting up near the RV.
