Campground/RV park/Boondocking spot bucket list

Have seen many different bucket list items here on the forum, but this is a different sort of question. Planning to map out some future trips and like to hear about some places you are thankful you visited.

Where is a must go campground, RV park or Boondocking spot? Somewhere where the campground is the destination rather than a place to park then visit the destination. I don't mean a theme park kind of campground, but one where the scenery, sunsets, etc are the reward. A place where you can sit under the awning and take in the beauty or maybe get to it with a short walk.

Colter Bay or Fishing Bridge RV park.
The Springs at Borrego during wildflower season.

BTW - Jerome AZ is best seen in a tow car not a motorhome.

I certainly agree with that observation. There's no place I know of to camp IN Jerome, but there are some great places around Cottonwood, and even more in the Prescott area. Also, many Forest Service sites around Payson/Heber (all in AZ). Many beautiful sites in the pine forests at from around 5000'-7500' elevation. Great affordable places to spend time in the summer!

Minnesota North Country pick a spot anywhere it's beautiful. Just one of many but a must is, Gooseberry Falls just North of Duluth. You can walk boulder to boulder out into the river and sit on the boulders in the river that feeds the falls that go into Lake Superior in front of you and see the river behind you coming down smaller Falls, Extra nice in the morning when the sun is just coming up.
