Hi DRosedale,
Hike, hike and hike some more, just me.

When it is the wife's turn, I follow her to the various tourist traps and trinket shops in the area we are in.

Both of us like to attend shows like in Branson and Pigeon Forge.

A good restaurant is also a favorite for us. We don't do fast food or semi fast food. Nice restaurants with a bit of atmosphere do us very well.

We like finding some local attraction to visit (historical/cultural site, winery, steam train excursion, unique store). Like Gary, we avoid the chain restaurants - get enough of those at home. I'll check out an area's CoC website for places to eat. At check-in we ask for recommendations for local private/family owned restaurants or diners. Then it's just chillaxin' around a nice campfire with a cool beverage (summer)/spiked hot-chocolate (spring/fall) in the evening.

Hike, bike, or paddle-to geocaches. Also visit a local winery/micro-brewery. Must of all, NOT WORK!
