I don't know about ya'll folks, but Country Music just seems to round out the flavor of the South, and compliments my perceptions of Myrtle Beach, and our upcoming National Rally.

In order to get into the spirit of things check out this link, and download the Internet Player. You can listen to New Country Y107 from New York City, on the Internet, as you're reading and replying to the posts here on iRV2.com. Y107 is hosted on the SurferNetWork.

I hope you enjoy the music and soon we'll be in the Alabama Theater in Myrtle Beach listening to the "Real Thing!".

For those who like this station, if you travel I80 in New Jersey, you can receive it from the eastern border of PA all the way into NYC and the surrounding areas. I'm not sure how far south. They've aquired a number of local stations in New Jersey and synced them up.

Country music makes me ill!! Rock and Roll is the only way to go. Maybe when I get old I will like country. I'm 61 now so I don't think it will happen!!!!!!!!!

Country ROCKS!!! So does rock and roll, the old stuff though from the 50's and 60's. Morpheus and Napster really oppened up my likes though from just Country. Plus I live in California and Country is Uncool here. I can understand, because of the backward view the rest of the country has of southerners. I cannot stand the older singers, but a lot of the new artists are indestinguisable from the Rock of old. By sound I mean. It could have gone the way old Rock did and turn into, Fer and ***** as every other word. Plus most of the country songs you can listen to and feel better, as they hold stories in the lyrics.

But I would not call country what it used to be. I cannot stand that twangy stuff that sounds like a dieing dog in a canyon full of echos.

Atleast I do not listen to rap.

(Kids nextdoor do, and the Cops are always nextdoor at night. I would never call the cops on anyone, but have been tempted with that music blasted. BTW: I do not call the cops on people because of their BS and the like. Can you say Stazi?)

We should do a forum for road songs. I travel a lot and have fav. tunes for each highway or area. Like Little Old Lady From Passedena on rural Calif. Roads going 85MPH. (Normal for Ca.) Or "My baby beside me at the wheel" if it is night and traffic is slow.

How pathetic, I am bored to the skull and rambling. Oh well, hope you all had a Good Indedpendence Day.

If you folks are interested in Country dancing (line & couples) while in MB there is a club called "the Beach wagon" only a 5 minute drive from OLC. We have been there nice place.

The difference between Rock & Roll and Country Music is that they don't have any good pickup truck songs !!!

There has not been any good music produced after 1950. Give me the music of the 20s, 30s, and 40s.

"Standing on a corner
In Winslow, Arizona,
Such a fine sight to see!

There's a girl, my Lord,
In a flatbed Ford
slowing down to take a look at me."

Take It Easy
~I'm having a 'senior moment' and can't remember the artist~

Okay, so it's not exactly a pickup truck, but it's close....

The musical line that separates Country music and Rock'n'Roll is so blurred, it would be difficult to pigeonhole much of it these days. (IMHO) Heck, my only requirement for music these days is that I be able to hum along.

Hi,

The Eagles wrote that song! Take it Easy.

I like Highway Star myself, There's lots of good road songs out there. I like Rock N Roll myself. Let's see there's American Pie- Took my Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry.

Myself, I like to listen to ZZ Top when I am camping, but only inside my camper where everyone can't hear it.

Me, I like just about any type of music , except Opera .There was that song called "truckin" , but I don't remember who sang it . I think it came out sometime in the 60's
