Camping World Kudos
Placed online order Thursday. Got email acknowledgement of the order Thursday afternoon. Friday afternoon got email "your order has been shipped". And the price beat anything I could find online, including Amazon.
I read many complaints on this forum, but hey have been consistently good with our orders.

Ohhhh, Pati, the Boo Birds will be out shortly.
I too have always had good service from CW but then I have never used their Service Department which is where most of the complaints are directed.

Camping World is hit or miss. If you go to RV.net, sponsered by CW/Good Sam, you'll find hundreds of posts about the bad service, sales, ect. They have gotten a bit better about their accessories and shipping. But try to return something and they will make you jump through hoops.
Even with some of their prices being lower then even Amazon, I still prefer Amazon with their free shipping and no hassle return policy.

I once purchased a spark knob for our range. I needed it so when they said they had it I said yes but when told it was 21 bucks I hesitated then paid. I went home and found it on Amazon for $3.21,ordered it and returned the CW's part.

This issue turned my CW shopping into 'last resort' shopping for now over five years.
Portable surge protector(50A) went toes up after five weeks on a trip out West. CW in Bolder City refused any exchange help and I had to deal directly with the manufacturer. This left our coach unprotected for three weeks while the manufacturer received the old one, then shipped the new one down the road. I understand that CW didn't make the thing, but they did select the supplier(yes, I did selected the protector)of the defective protector.
In another lifetime, I managed a tire store. If a customer had a problem with a tire, it was cheerfully pro-rated(if over 20 % of tread life used, less than... replaced at N/C) and replaced with a new one. The tire was sent back to the manufacturer and a new one was replaced into our inventory on a pro-rated basis...no sweat. A concept that worked well, kept the customer happy and returning.
I would imagine that the lack of customer service has cost CW much more than their current return policy has saved them.

I don't think enough people post their "good" experiences with CW or anything else. Good to hear

I may be wrong, but this may just be the first thread on the entire forum that started out with something good to say about CW. I always suspected that they aren't all bad LOL.

Good to hear a positive post. We have always had good luck with CW but haven't had any service work done there. All the things we have purchased from them we have had no issues with and our local store is always pretty well stocked, especially with the sale items.

I'm just curious about what you could have bought that was actually cheaper at CW than Amazon or other online resellers? I know I've never managed to find anything.

I haven't had any issues with CW when buying from the local store, or returning something from an internet purchase, actually been treated quite well. As for the service side of things, I have a local dealer that has treated me very well so will use them for all of my service related issues. I've never tried CW service, but since I've found a place I trust I'm not going to take any chances....

We had a roadmaster anti sway bar and safe-t-plus installed at Rogers, Mn. Camping world this summer. I ordered on the phone at the store( we are 120 miles away) and the service rep. was great. I couldn't believe they could install the next week as I expected a longer wait time. Installation went smooth but took a little longer than anticipated but they have a nice lounge and retail store there. As I waited, the service manager kept me informed as to the progress. All in all a good experience and good results. The handling of my 2013 Vista 27n has improved a lot.
