Why not remove the regulator from the grill?

Any decent rv shop should have the hose on their shelf.

I would assume so...but since we are on the road full time, it is hard to find a "good" RV shop until we have gone through town. We typically stay in one town for 3 to 5 days, then vamanos!

We will be in Portland OR area for about 2 weeks, which should give me plenty of time to find what I need an get it!

Stop at a full service propane store. Not the one at your local gas station, but something like Amerigas who does bulk sales. They should be able to take off the regulator from your grill and adapt your hose to fit. You can't use a disposable tank after that. For flexibility, you may want to consider buying the fitting others have suggested that fits between your propane tank and the regulator. I have one on each of my tanks and use them every trip. Also allows use of a disposable tank in case you want to be over 12' from your RV.
