So far I bought and tried three different 12vdc LED lamps and none will shine brightly. Only a little soft glow. One even came packaged with a 12 vdc battery and switch built into the packaging so I knew it works. But not in our fridge. I’ve checked the voltage across the socket and it is 12 volts plus. Anyone have any idea why they won’t work in our fridge?

That's interesting... I had never seen these before, and then today, I found a light with a door switch in our linen closet, and it was one of these "festoon" bulbs... I just ordered a pack of LED versions to put in there... I hope they work.
