Canada 2025

ithout any political advise or comment, has anyone heard any reactions from Canadians or others regarding American summer visitors coming up for a month or so. Planning NB, Nova Scotia,PEI in July. Was making reservation and one campground said price will higher if tariffs go into effect. Just struck me a little bit like “ stay home “ . Thanks, Tom

To me it sounded more courtesy thing like a heads up.

I'm sure you'll be welcome. It's just the fluctuation of the dollar and other costs. We Canadians are a pretty friendly bunch normally. By the way, our flag will be 50 years old on Feb. 15/25

Isn't the flag going to be 60 years old this year?

I never realized the current Canadian flag was so young, which prompted me to Wikipedia it, where I learned it was adopted in 1965, if I understand correctly.

Right you are, sorry, my bad. It's kind of nice that it's probably the most liked and respected flag in the world.

Having camped in Canada, and camped next to Canadians here in the states, I have never had anything but a friendly camping experience with them. The Canadian border patrol experience was much better going in, than dealing with my US border agents when leaving.

I wouldn't fret about your trip to Canada right now. Generally speaking Canadians are known world wide for being friendly and polite for the most part. Hence why I brought my family here over 30+ years ago from the UK for a way better future and lifestyle. Best thing we ever did. Like anywhere in the world there's good and bad of course but the balance on the good in Canada and the people has been overwhelming for our family.

We welcome USA cousins as we have for years and we hope they continue to welcome us to their country, which hubby and I have enjoyed RVing in since the late 90's.

Your President is doing "what he thinks" is the best to build your country back up. Any tariffs he imposes on us or any other country, will unfortunately likely create a "tit for tat" in both directions sadly. End of the day it'll be the end consumer as always that suffers the most financially and or otherwise

Come on up the waters warm and welcoming and will continue to be so of that I'm personally quite confident. No guarantees but as they say a leopard doesn't change it's spots!

We plan on driving to Alaska this year. I don’t think any body cares what color you are or male or female or what political party you are a member of. Most Canadian people and Americans care mostly about one thing and that’s money. I’m not going to Canada or Alaska looking for a fight, I’m looking to have fun and that’s all I’m looking for. I enjoy talking with people. I vote every year but it’s not something I get upset about

We have about 5 months to travel in and can't decide where to go.

Looking at Canada and going to Newfoundland, for the 3rd time, or going westward and doing some of the Utah parks then looping north and travelling back to the Mid Atlantic via the northern states, again.

We have been at it for 17 years so we have been about everywhere at least a few times. 270,000 truck RVing miles.

With the exchange rate at about $1.43CD to $1USD Canada is tempting. That $50CD CG about $35USD. The kicker is the VAT if not included. The NL ferry is not cheap. A six hour plus ride. If we go we will do 6-8 weeks on the The Rock.
