Car Storage near Airport Los Angeles (LAX)
Good evening,
we want to leave at the end of November 2014 for about 6 months our car (Jeep Liberty) near the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Does anyone know a good, safe and affordable garage or storage?
Thank you.
Walter

Another question is:
We have found a Storage in Palmdale.
We fly back to Germany and come back the end of April 2015
does anyone know a good and safe place, covered? Or has anyone of the members space in his garage? Of course I'll pay for it.
Thanks.
Walter

Where are you now?
Many options for storage.
Places like darrels mini storage in the ca central valley to many all over the country where uou can get a room to put the car in and prepay for the time.
Find one someplace then get enterprise to pick you up then drive the rental to your airport.
And that can be anyplace in the country like texas maybe.

Rather than park your personal car near the airport, where prices will be high, you should pick a safe parking place away from that area and take a taxi to the airport. If you use a storage facility, I suggest you disconnect the battery while it's being stored. Also put Sta-Bil in the gas tank before driving it to the storage area to give it time to get into the engine.

Indoor storage!
Outside in the weather will not be good.
We stored our trailered generators inside the self storage and cost was not bad snd given they were inside locked room and out of sight very secure.
You can store more there if needed.
You may be able to have power from the light to power a maintainer...check with the owner as most have lights.

Thank you very much.
Actually we just need a way where we can assume two suitcases from the beginning of December 2014 to April 2015, in or near LAX or the harbor.
It is so that we make the end of November a cruise. 7 Days. We come back in the morning with the ship in Los Angeles. And fly in the afternoon by plane back to Germany.
Unfortunately, the airline has changed the flight plan, so that we do not have much time to go to Palmdale where our RV is and where we can bring the stuff.
Regards.
Walter

Story goes that a man walked into a bank and asked for a loan, like 10,000 dollars.. He offered his very expensive imported sports car as collateral,, Handing the bank officer the keys and letting them hold it in their secure parking lot..
A month later he returned, paid the loan back (with interest) and the loan officer ask him some question:
While you were gone we looked you up, You have millions, you could buy and sell this bank with petty cash.. Why did you need the loan?
He admitted he did not need the loan.. But where in NYC could he park his car for a month while he went overseas for the cost of the interest on the loan?

We have found a solution: at LAX airport there is a storage where we can store our luggage for a week.
Thanks to all.
