I need some extra keys. Does anybody have any extra CH751 keys to spare? I need two.

George, you can find these keys everywhere. I've found them on the grounds everywhere I walk. Keep your head up(or down if you are looking for a key).

George,

I broke a CH751 key and bought 3 or 4 replacements at Topper's RV in Jersey Village (Houston), TX. They had a bin full of them - I would imagine many other RV dealers or service facilities would as well.

I stopped at Huffnagle & Majors to get my keys.

I walked in and asked to buy two, CH751 keys. The salesman replied, "What did you end up buying?"

I was sorry to make the guy feel bad that he didn't get my trailer sale, but he just couldn't offer me a new 2002 for the price I paid for it.

Anyway, I got the keys that I needed.

George, your story kind of reminds me of when we lived in Western PA and camped with a lot of my late in-laws friends....One such couple had purchased a new fiver and brought it along on it's maiden voyage to Myrtle Beach one year.
We were sitting around the campfire one evening when another "chair-less" couple walked up, to which the wife/new owner told her husband to go in the trailer and get the compartment keys so she could get two more chairs....The devil that I am, (wife smacked me later...), I said, "here, try my key" and IT WORKED!!

The key of course, was a 751.....The lady was so peed at me she avoided me the rest of the week as she thought I'd somehow had something to do with having the same keys....

Something else she used to do was really (DANGEROUSLY) funny.....In the morning when they were hooking up, she would get UNDER and BEHIND the fiver hitch and shine a flashlight on the hitch pin for her husband, to guide him into position....My late FIL was about the only one that could talk to them and he NEVER convinced them to stop this practice....It got to be comical after a while..

Our local lowes has them. just look in the cabinet hardware section and look at the key numbers on the locks in the bins.

It the key to the outside access doors. Just about every rv mfg uses this key number. Yes, you can use yours to get into your neighbors rv. Just don't get caught.

Thanks never knew that. I did know that the repair folks had a master key that fit all Monaco doors but never heard of the CH key. We have two locks on our door. The repairman said they could get in one lock but not the other. again tnx. s/Toby

Toby, don't worry too much. The 751 key is not used on entrance doors, just some compartment, water fill, outside shower doors and such. If you have an RV you probably have a 751.

When we bought our new Hitchhiker this year we asked about having the storage door locks changed. The repair supervisor suggested we leave them. He said it would be VERY expensive to replace the doors if someone busted them up to get inside. Made some sense.. Intersting tradeoff..
