Changing to a color camera system

Has anyone converted their Motorhome to a color backup camera system? Looking for ideas, cameras, monitor, install. Thanks.

I used rvcams.com to replace an old b/w Voyager system with a color monitor and rear camera. What I received from them was pretty much plug and play with what I had originally in the rv. I didn't bother with the side cameras as they get less use.

I had the ole original Panasonic B&W. I replaced it with a color. I ran a new 5 conductor cable to carry power and signal.

While I was doing this, I added a LED work-light above the camera, its worked great for backing, hooking the toad, etc.

I have photos and links on my blog site:

Our Sunstar apparently had a MobileVision system that the PO had butchered, broke and replaced with 2 crappy cameras, a toggle switch, and the the video input on the Pioneer infotainment system he also installed.

I replaced that with the original MobileVision system I ordered from Tim at rvcams.com. At the same time, I added the side view cameras since the wiring was already there for turn signal control.

This is essentially what I did, however I did install new color side cameras as well. I used the existing cables. My rear camera even retained the power tilt function. Much nicer with a wide screen color monitor. A lot lighter as well without the old CRT monitor.
