Cheapest state for RV roof replacement?
Hi we’re wintering in the southern United States and I’m wondering if repairs are less expensive in certain states.
Our roof is getting close to needing to be replaced. We were planning to do it when we get back to Canada this summer but I was thinking it might be cheaper to have the work done while we’re down south.
On this trip we’re hitting California, Texas, Florida and every where in between.
Our rig is a 2011 Georgetown 350TS class A
Thanks!

I don't think you'll find any price difference due to States. You just need to call around and get pricing and scheduling.

Have you considered going to Mexico? Pretty cheap repairs down there.

I think one major problem would be warranty. If you get it done in the U.S., or elsewhere, and something happens after you get back home, you'd have to drive back to the place that installed it. How much would it cost to return to have it repaired?

Great point. Definitely something we’ll need to consider

I had my roof replaced last year $23000(insurance) at Trans west in Fredrick. It only came with a 90 day workmanship warranty, beside that and other factors don't go there.

RV repairs are usually pricey but of those three states you mentioned, I would think you could get the best deal in Texas. labor and taxes and most things in general are less expensive here.

Have you decided on what type of roof material you want? Do you want to replace the roof membrane or go to a spray-on type of roof?
Here is an example of a spray-on roof replacement.
https://www.sprayonrvroof.com/
I have never used this place just trying to show the different styles of roof material out there.
So, I think you would need to decide what kind of replacement you want.
Also here is another type of roof material:

Oregon has no sales tax, in addition to a few other states. Keep in mind you usually get what you pay for when shopping for the lowest price.

I believe APR RV in Mesa, Arizona has a pretty good reputation for roof repair.

Had baseball size hail hit my motorhome in July of 2017. Had rvarmor replace the roof. Completely stripped the old, replaced the luan underlayment and covered with their proprietary membrane and sealer. Lifetime transferable warranty and do the install right where your motorhome or camper is sitting. Have a network of installers in the entire country, not cheap but still looks great.
