cleaning the motorhome roof with rain

I have a small class A with 2 slides. Curious if I would hurt anything by taking it out of my backyard 'carport' to let 6 hours of projected rain wash off accumulated grime on the roof. The 'port has sides down from 14' about halfway, so I don't understand how we got grime up there, but we did.

I am assuming to first pull the slides in, unplug the power, and close the ceiling vents, then back it out. Is this a bad idea? And, will it lead to awful side dirt for after-the-rain?

I know you get this on the road, and we certainly have (with no aftereffects), but this will be parked in the backyard while it rains.

Any comments?

You could do in the rain but i'am pretty sure you are going to have some kind of a brush to get it clean

It could help some... but remember how a dark colored car looks after a rain when it was dusty/dirty before. You might need to get up there a do a little tap dance with a push broom. Sing'in in the rain, I'm sing'in in the rain!

Rain certainly won't hurt it. People RV in the rain all the time.

The issue is that it won't clean the roof thoroughly. You need a cleaner and a brush.

Won't hurt, but be prepared for some streaks down the side as well.

I wash in the rain all the time when it's warm out. Free spotless water.
