Angry cole hersee

how do you check a cole hersee circuit breaker in place?
mine are a all metal case attached to bus bar, get continuity
stud to stud or stud to case

Continuity should be checked with a test lamp. Using an alligator clip on one end of the test light, clip that to the chassis or ground. Using the tip of the test lamp, you should get a light on either stud. (both) when the circuit is energized. It maybe dead if the key is OFF.
