Corner seal maintenance
Hey guys!
I have a question about corner seals on my Arctic Fox 990. Figured everyone has corners on their RV so this topic seemed to fit here.
I have some delamination occurring and/or starting to on the back corners of my AF. I plan to try and repair that with epoxy and I bought a Dicor seal-tite kit to hopefully stop any future leaking.
My question is up around the cab over corners. It looks to be pretty solid still. Should I pull the molding off and go over it with seal-tite? Or is that something better left alone if there is no reason to pull it apart (if it ain't broke don't fix it!), and just use something like Dicor caulking and run a bead of caulking along the trim edges after cleaning the edges up a bit.
Its a 2005 AF 990 that I am sure has been outside its entire life and talking to the previous owner and hearing his use of it, and hearing him talk about the original previous owners, I would say in the last 10 years it has seen no outside maintenance.
Given its age, lack of maintenance, and it having an outside life the last 13 years, I am leaning towards pulling the molding off and doing it, but sometimes some things are better left alone as you will never get it back quite the same way as it came from the factory.
Thanks!!
