Does anyone here own a Cricket SW3? Had an opportunity to try one this weekend and it was really neat. I did some measuring and this thing will actually fit in the back of my Jeep Commander. For around $3000 looks pretty decent:

Seriously considering this, so I'd like to hear from anyone with personal experience.

I had an American Road Hog Road Hog Basement Buggy goroadhog basement buggy before which had the same narrow dimensions that would fit inside a PT Cruiser. After test riding the Cricket I sold my Road Hog. The Cricket has so much more and a softer ride. I received my new Viper Blue SW3 a couple months ago. It sits along side my Harley in my toy hauler. Mine has the options of basket, windshield, canvas roof, and outdoor storage cover. The basket in back is great for carrying laundry, food, tackle box and cooler. My dog likes riding there too.

No experience here, but we met some folks driving a Cricket in the RV park we wintered in at Donna, TX. It was very quiet and nimble for them to drive. Faster than a golf-cart, they passed some driving uphill. It was a 4 seater. It was barely wide enough for 2 people to sit side-by-side, and neither was heavy. Now we have a MH,we will look more closely.

in January we camped in Texas next to a fellow who has one .... watching him take it out of his vehicle and assemble it was really interesting .... as noted, his was narrow, for folks his size, there didn't appear to be sufficient room for two to sit in the front seat .... he seemed to be very pleased with it

We actually had the opportunity to test one this weekend. The front seat was tight for two, but not badly, in fact it was so easy to drive I was able to put my arm around my sweet wife and drive with one hand. Then, we loaded it up with 4 people and took it up a pretty substantial hill. It was slow, but made it to the top with little effort. It was so easy to drive and assemble, I was really impressed and am considering ordering one. The only issues I've been able to find on the web were related to the paint, and if I order, it will be a gelcoat white one.

We the older model ESV- (Tiller instead of steering wheel)

It is 7 years old and we bought it used last winter. We love it as it functions like a regular golf cart, but is small enough to fit under our topper cap on the pickup.

Based upon my test drive and reading other responses, I've placed my order for an SW3. Can't wait till it gets here!

As I remember, the Cricket SW3 comes in two models. one is 24 volt with two 12 volt sealed batteries. The other is 36 volt with three 12 volt batteries. Both have built in battery chargers with seprate sections for each battery.

I have had the older SW3 24 volt for about 4 years. It does about 8 miles per hour. The only problem I have had is that there is a plastic drive bushing I have had to replace twice. Really think this bushing should be made of bronze. I have traveled with ours knocked down to fit in a Pontiac Vibe and currently in a Chevy Equinox. It will also fit in a Chevy HHR, but it is as tight as the Vibe.

Mine is the 36 volt. I think that's the only one available now.

Our Cricket arrived today. It was in perfect condition. I had it delivered to the loading dock at work and was able to uncrate it there, then load it into the back of the Jeep. This little thing is pretty speedy

. Can't wait to get it home and play around

It fit perfectly in the back of the Commander.
